Position Overview
CMS1 Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Revenue Cycle Consultant to join our growing advisory team. In this role you will serve as the primary client-facing lead on RCM transformation engagements for hospital systems, multi-site physician groups, and integrated delivery networks across the United States.
You will apply your deep revenue cycle expertise to diagnose performance gaps, design corrective strategies, and drive measurable net revenue gains β delivering results consistent with our track record of 12%+ year-over-year revenue improvement for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end RCM assessments including charge capture, coding, claims submission, denial management, and A/R optimization
- Identify payer-specific denial trends and develop targeted appeal workflows to recover denied revenue
- Analyze payer mix, reimbursement rates, and contractual variances across Medicare FFS, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid MCO, and commercial payers
- Design and implement front-end eligibility verification and prior authorization process improvements
- Mentor junior consultants and analysts on client engagements
- Deliver executive-level presentations and written findings to C-suite and Board-level stakeholders
- Support payer contract negotiations with data-backed reimbursement benchmarking
- Monitor regulatory changes impacting billing and reimbursement (CMS, HIPAA, Stark, False Claims Act)
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of revenue cycle consulting or healthcare operations experience
- Deep knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer billing rules
- Proficiency with RCM platforms (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, athenahealth or similar)
- Strong data analysis skills; ability to interpret A/R aging, denial dashboards, and payer scorecards
- Excellent client communication and project management skills
- CRCR, CPC, RHIA, or similar certification preferred
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt a strong plus
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Health Administration or Business preferred

- Base salary $90,000 β $100,000 commensurate with experience
